Balgone Estate, situated near North Berwick in East Lothian, is hosting its annual Sunflower Trail August 6 and 24, 2025. This event features a 14-acre field of sunflowers with winding paths and designated pick-your-own areas. Visitors can explore the fields, take photographs, and pick sunflowers at £1 per stem.

Event Highlights:

Daytime Sessions: Available from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, these sessions include access to the sunflower fields, pick-your-own areas, and on-site catering options.

Evening Sessions: Starting at 5:00 PM or 6:00 PM and concluding at 10:00 PM, evening sessions offer a relaxed atmosphere with golden-hour lighting, a farm-to-fork BBQ, and a bar serving drinks such as Pimms and G&Ts. Adults-only sessions are also available.

Photography Opportunities: The estate provides individual photography sessions and full-site rentals, featuring props like oversized swings and benches. These sessions are designed for photographers seeking exclusive access to the fields.

Additional Information:

Accessibility: The site offers accessible facilities, including two beach wheelchairs for hire. Please note that there is a 200-meter hill leading to the sunflower fields.

Pet Policy: Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.

Charitable Contribution: Balgone Estate donates 10% of sunflower sales to Brain Power, supporting Brain Tumour Research.

Booking Information:

Advance booking is required for all sessions. Tickets are priced per vehicle, regardless of the number of occupants. For those arriving on foot, a ticket covers up to five people.
