Leith Creative Trail 2025: Makers, Art & Inspiration

Leith’s getting seriously creative this winter. From 29 November to 7 December 2025, the Leith Creative Trail takes over the neighbourhood with open studios, makers’ markets, pop-ups and exhibitions — all celebrating the area’s buzzing arts scene.

Hosted by Edinburgh Open Workshop, the trail connects more than 20 venues across Leith, from hidden workshops to independent galleries. Download a beautifully illustrated map (designed by local artists Cat Gordon and Zoe Brown), then spend a day exploring, chatting to makers, and discovering everything from ceramics and jewellery to textiles and prints.

It’s a relaxed, DIY-style art crawl that lets you see creativity in action — and maybe even pick up a few handmade gifts along the way.

Leith has long been Edinburgh’s creative soul, and this event proves it. Real studios, real makers, and a real sense of community — no pretence, just pure inspiration.
